2011-2012 Dance Competition: Student Choreography and Performance Adjudications

Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in a “for credit” dance class at any Maricopa Community College during the 2010-2011 school year. Full-time or adjunct faculty who may be enrolled in college dance courses are NOT eligible to apply to the competition as a student applicant.

  • There may be only one entry submitted on an application for all categories. Student Choreography Competition applicants who are planning to also perform their work in the Performance Competition, must fully complete and submit both, the Performance Competition application AND Choreography Competition application.
  • All applications are accepted as submitted. There will be no substitutions after application submission – no exceptions made.

Notification Date of Competition Time on February 11, 2012: All entries will be notified by Tuesday, February 7, as to the time slot assigned for adjudication on Saturday, February 11, 2012. Failure to appear at the appointed time withdraws entry from adjudication process.

Performance of Work and Presentation of Awards:
First Place work in each category will be performed at the Artists of Promise performance scheduled for April 10 (rehearsal) and April 11 (performance), 2012 at the Herberger Theatre. All lst Place winners are expected to be available for dress rehearsal on April 10 and performance on April 11, 2012.
