Introduction to Google Applications

This event will offer information and engage participants in dialogue and hands-on activities intended to introduce and familiarize workshop participants with Gmail, Google Talk, Google Docs, and Google Calendar.

As a result of active participation in the workshop, participants will be able to:
--Describe the functions of Gmail, Google Talk, Google Docs, and Google Calendar.
--Set-up regular Google accounts and activate the various tools under discussion.
--Outline what the various Google Applications can do based on hands-on experience with the tools.
--Discuss reasons for using the various tools.
--Identify particular challenges common to incorporating new technologies into courses.
