MCLI Awarded Quality Matters Research Grant

Date:
Jul 1 2009

MCLI's Quality Matters research grant proposal was recently selected as one of twenty-six proposals submitted from sixteen states, five were selected to receive funding from Quality Matters.

As a consortium, Maricopa’s ten community colleges have trained 67 faculty members, instructional designers/technologists, and deans as certified Quality Matters peer reviewers. The MCLI project seeks to assess the impact of that training on hybrid and online course development, faculty development programs, and teaching and learning practices via those trained peer reviewers and the efforts in which they are involved at their respective institutions. A mixed methods data collection process including interviews, surveys and course reviews will be used to determine the current status and future directions for the Maricopa Quality Matters Initiative. Findings from the research projects will be published in June 2010.
