AFA Fall Workshop
Public Policy and Advocacy
The purpose of this workshop is to provide interested employees knowledge of legislative processes, and a sense of awareness of public policy and how it serves the interests of the educational community.
Group and individual advocates play an important role in the legislative arena. Through practicing effective advocacy, they can make a difference, including being an influence to the passage of legislative bills that may or may not be viewed as promoting best interests of their community. Presented will be information and key points to assist and empower those who wish to practice effective advocacy.
