Fall Assessment Forum: SMCC Preparing for the Reaccreditation - Before, During, and After
Objective
To dialogue with faculty, staff, and administrators what the college has learned during the reaccreditation process that can help facilitate the process for other MCCCD colleges to impact instruction, departmental outcomes, and college wide assessment. Given time for sharing of findings, dialog, and recommendations, members of the SMCC community themselves have the expertise to improve and break new ground in facilitating assessment at multiple levels – classroom, department, and college - in the accreditation process
• Understand accreditation and assessment as a process not an event
• Identify and address barriers to meaningful assessment and self-study
• Create new assessment options of
• Apply the above learning to whatever the role assessment plays in their work
Activities will include the following:

• Large and small group discussions

• Event evaluation
