Session 1: Interactive Keynote: Transformative change through threshold concepts In this session, participants will be introduced to the threshold concept framework–a framework aimed at making disciplinary knowledge and disciplinary practices more transparent and accessible for students. Session participants will leave with a better understanding of the student success implications of implementing a threshold concept framework when evaluating our curricula across a single course, a sequence of courses, or program. |

Session 2: Workshop: Naming What You Know In this session, participants will put the threshold concept framework into action. Working in small groups, faculty within the same field of interest will be led through a series of prompts aimed at articulating tacit knowledge and practices that might be impeding student progression within a course or program. Participants will leave this session having made explicit some of the implicit ways of thinking and practicing in their fields, with the goal of building on these to create inclusive and innovative learning environments. |

Session 3: Chaired Panel: Building Innovative Pedagogies Around Threshold Concepts In this session, participants will hear from a panel of their peers that will describe ways to practically implement a threshold concept framework. Participants will have an opportunity to ask panelists questions regarding the challenges and opportunities of implementing this framework at the course or program level. Ultimately, participants will leave with examples of innovative work that they can use as models as they revise their own course and program materials. |
