Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a framework designed to highlight the entrepreneurial mindset throughout MCCCD. The goal is to share effective practices and programs, encourage solution-seeking, and cultivate partnerships that promote student success.
As we work toward becoming more nimble organizations in higher education serving students, employees, and community members, MCLI is learning to become more innovative and entrepreneurial while also offering high-impact experiences for others to explore innovative and entrepreneurial thinking and behaviors that can lead to positive outcomes such as increased trust, collaboration, partnering and, ultimately, student success.
MCLI is highlighting innovative and entrepreneurial endeavors throughout our 10 colleges and the District Office demonstrating that as we are learning to be more innovative and entrepreneurial, there are already many innovative and entrepreneurial successes throughout our system that we can be inspired by, learn from, and celebrate.
The definition of an innovative-entrepreneurial mindset that MCLI is currently using to frame our learning and the experiences we’re creating comes from Dr. Shari Olson, President of South Mountain Community College, Chair of the Board National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE; 2019-2021) and the Creator/Host of The Legacy Group.
